Pitchfork reports that Kendrick Lamar is prohibiting professional photographers from shooting his live performances. The news comes after reports surfaced this weekend claiming that the “Humble” rapper was banning fans from using phones at his gigs, as artists like Jack White and Dave Chappelle have done in recent weeks. However, it’s now believed that concertgoers will be allowed to use their phones at gigs however they want, including snapping photos. Lamar’s move to ban only professional photographers follows in the footsteps of similar policies enacted by Beyoncé and The Killers, who choose to only commission their own concert photographs.
